Synopsis:
New Bridge Pharma is a Global organization and had hosted its solutions on the Internet from a US Based Hosting company and was looking to operate its IT Operations from Dubai. They were looking at one Solutions Company who could meet their complete IT Operations as a single window.

 

Design and Implementation:
Seven Seas provided New Bridge Pharma with an end-end solution providing them with Unified Messaging and Communication in a high available and secured IT deployment with Microsoft Hyper-V, MS-Exchange 2010 and Forefront TMG online. This was further integrated with their MITEL telephony providing them with Unified Messaging and Communication. Other requirements included Phones, Cabling, Rack Assembly, Laptops, Projectors and Printers.

Pain Points: VMware product deficiency, Cost consideration migrating from VMware to Hyper V.

Solution:  Virtualization Migration from VMware to Hyper V. Physical to Virtual, Virtual to Virtual resource allocation.

 

Synopsis:
Dubai Statistics, a government organization was looking at means to save on IT Costs. Despite being on 2 VMware hosts + one Hyper-V; their servers were adding up; so were their virtualization costs on additional licenses, hosts and services. DSC was not able to notice the cost savings besides were not able to customize VMware due to certain deficiencies as against Microsoft Hyper-V.

 

Design and Implementation:
As their System Integrator and MS-License provider, Seven Seas Computers analyzed their licenses availability, the mentioned pain points and their existing IT infrastructure to propose them solution based on Hyper-V. The VM hosted on VMware were moved in V-V mode on Hyper thus making two Hyper-V hosts Cluster aware. The third VMware hosts also was reconfigured with Hyper-V creating a 3-node VM cluster providing high availability and load balancing solution.  With this approach, DSC was immediately able to notice the performance difference and also could leverage on their licenses availability.

BAT had a big challenge in operating and maintaining their collaboration segment They also faced challenges internally on how to maintain files and search them effectively.BAT was also evaluating an Enterprise Content Management Solution for their document management needs not realizing the capabilities of MOSS and their available licenses as part of the Enterprise Agreement.

Design and Implementation:

Seven Seas Computers proposed and deployed a MOSS Farm Solution for their Intranet making it simple to operate and maintain the same in dual languages. The design also included a custom developed application on their search solution for their projects on the portal using customized web parts using Visual Studio.

Synopsis:
SERCO is the services management company for RTA especially its Metro Services. The current application roles running locally at SERCO are Active Directory, MS-Exchange, and File & Print Services with user spread across several locations. The IT infrastructure is running on a single server environment. As part of the audit compliance and high available needs, had desired to in for a DR implementation and were looking for a System integrator having prior experience and capability of designing, implementing and supporting the solution.

 

Design & Implementation:
Seven Seas Computers suggested them the DR implementation by implementing Microsoft Hyper V Platform thus allowing the DR and high available function and further to save on Energy, Go Green and save on Rack Space. Seven Seas suggested just 1 Single Server only for their DR segregating the roles for AD, MS-Exchange, and File & Print server into 4 virtual servers.

Agthia is the manufacturing segment under the umbrella of General Holding Corporation.  Their challenge was enormous phone bills and travelling costs for top management from various countries and branches. They were also looking at involving their partners for conferencing which they were unable to do so on the fly. Besides, there was a failed implementation of OCS 2007 R2 where in the earlier vendor was unable to deliver the critical features after several attempts.

 

Design & Implementation:
Seven Seas Computers provided them a Lync 2010 topology along with Federation Services on the Edge Perimeter Zone to complete its tasks. The Roles that were deployed included Multi-Party Conferencing, Integration with Cisco Call Manager & Federation with Partners through Lync.
