Chartis is a world leading property-casualty and general insurance organization serving more than 70 million clients around the world.  With one of the industry’s most extensive ranges of products and services, deep claims expertise and excellent financial strength, Chartis enables its commercial and personal insurance clients alike to manage virtually any risk with confidence. They have IT team addressing a demanding business.  They needed to deploy Avaya IPT and revamp their telephony infrastructure which was agile, Flexible and highly available to meet the growing business needs with a tight budget. They also wanted to shift their office with the whole Avaya IPT network to their new office in DAFZA

 

Design and Implementation:

We Seven Seas undertook the task of designing and deploying Avaya IPT infrastructure which would be highly available, flexible   meeting their growing business needs. Seven Seas-CHARTIS partnership brought about a highly available private Avaya IPT structure, built upon S8300C/G700, Local survivability LSP, Call Center solution; Witness Recorder and Meeting exchange to meet their 30 party conferencing requirements. The new infrastructure currently has Call Monitoring also for the Call Center agents. We also undertook the shifting of their Avaya IPT infrastructure to their new office with minimum downtime. The project was completed in time and is currently live. This new IPT infrastructure is yielding the business advantage in terms of higher productivity, scalability and Service availability.

Synopsis.
Brookfield Multiplex build, engineer, develop and maintain property and infrastructure around the world. Brookfield is the leading standalone business with a reputation for delivering. Brookfield are at their best creating large scale and complex landmark buildings, commercial structures and major infrastructure projects, being the one of the largest developer with offices in various countries and head office in Australia had to reduce the global economic impact on their business by reducing the cost of their calls among their offices inside and outside UAE. To meet this objective there was need to consolidate and upgrade their telephony infrastructure for better business intelligence. They had an emphasis on availability, agility, scalability with reduced TCO and had to do all this in limited budget.

 

Design and Implementation:
Seven seas designed, proposed and implemented an infrastructure with Mitel 3300 ICP controllers in multiple locations. The implementation of this Mitel based infrastructure includes MXe II controller at head office and CXi controllers on remote sites to give call connectivity across all the sites of Brookfield with no cost. The Mitel CCM Based Call Center was also implemented by Seven Seas benefiting Brookfield business in following areas.

Since it is a factory environment they have had a 24x7 high workload environment with very high transaction volumes. With challenge of performance and availability with the existing infrastructure, their business plans and operational requirements requires improvisation of the IP Telephony systems.

The implementation of this Mitel based infrastructure with touch screen phones was one of the best and state of the art solution at that.

Seven Seas deployed duplex Mitel MXe II controllers solution in Herbert Smith which has helped them achieved the required level of Resiliency and Redundancy in their IPT infrastructure. Seven Seas Mitel solutions have also helped them minimize the downtime of the IPT infrastructure. With Mitel controllers deployed across Dubai and Abu Dhabi helped them reduce the calling cost among sites.
